Skip Pilot ("Skip Pilot", "we", "us") is a hire management platform operated by Keelstone Group Pty Ltd (ABN 60 700 059 598) and developed by Swift Apps Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, web app (app.skippilot.com.au) and mobile apps, how we use it, and your choices. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who uses Skip Pilot
Skip Pilot is a business tool used by hire companies ("Operators") to manage jobs, drivers, customers and invoicing. If you are a customer of an Operator, that Operator is responsible for how they handle your information; we process it on their behalf as a service provider.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone number, and password (stored encrypted) for Operators, their staff and their drivers.
- Business data you enter: customers, addresses, jobs, bins/assets, invoices and related records the Operator manages in the app.
- Driver location: when a driver uses the mobile app, we may use device location to show and optimise routes and to record job completion. Location is used only while performing work and is not sold or shared for advertising.
- Device and push tokens: a push notification token so we can send job alerts to the driver app.
- Usage and technical data: log data such as IP address, device type and actions taken, used for security and to keep the service running.
How we use information
- To provide the service: managing jobs, drivers, scheduling, invoicing and notifications.
- To send transactional messages (email/SMS) such as booking confirmations, invoices and driver login details, on behalf of the Operator.
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and provide support.
- To improve reliability and features. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers we use
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Supabase and Amazon Web Services: application database and hosting.
- Amazon SES: sending email.
- Cellcast: sending SMS.
- Google Maps Platform: address lookup and mapping/routing.
- Stripe: subscription and payment processing. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivering push notifications.
- Microsoft Clarity: anonymised website analytics, including heatmaps and session replay of how visitors use our marketing pages.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics: cookieless website traffic and referrer statistics for our marketing pages.
- Google Analytics: website traffic and audience statistics for our marketing pages. Unlike the two above, this one sets cookies in your browser.
- Meta Pixel: measuring how our Facebook and Instagram advertising performs, and showing ads to people who have already visited this site. It sets cookies in your browser and shares page visits and enquiry submissions with Meta.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as an Operator's account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. Operators can request deletion of their account and associated data.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls and row-level security so each Operator can only access their own tenant's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. If you are a customer of an Operator, please contact that Operator first; otherwise contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you are not satisfied with our response.
Children
Skip Pilot is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
